I just finished Barney's Version and I swear that I'm the worst kind of reader - I go in for the novels with the characters that I sympathize with, and disdain other people who do the same sort of thing, who read Kerouac or Salinger or whomever, all flush with the wine of youth. I prefer the contankerous middle-aged to elderly failed womanizers and moderately successful boozehounds who have alienated those around them with their sarcasm and made a number of stunning blunders in their life. I've got to get some better role models...

Toronto sucks.

Actually a bit busy, farming myself out to write people's term-papers kicks up some sweat on your brow, ya know. I just finished two of them and a take-home final exam, the latter of which was really quite easy, just some evocative words about the harmonious relationship between Montrealers and their beloved greenspace, Mount Royal park and some snide commentary on those people who fight each other with duct-tape swords on the mountain on Sunday afternoons.

The new LCD Soundsystem album's been leaked, which in the grand DFA scheme of things means that the album will be on store shelves in 3 months or so...

Ryan Clarke asked me to join a band of his, to songwrite and play an instrument or something. Sounds fun, I imagine we'll get down to hanging out like a gang and drinking ourselves silly after the term ends. However, at that point, I'm off on my Triple-V Vacation - Vancouver, Victoria and Vanderhoof, vhich isn't such a vonderful town...
